Libby, the Loveable

Liberty is such a sweet girl.  We love having her in our family.  Here are some snapshots of her from recent months.

Funny sleeping positions.  These were taken just days apart.

Riding hard on the playground.

Whoosh!

One Fish, Two Fish

One of our favorite school activities is Dr. Suess Night.  He was such a great author and Ticasuk Brown Elementary does a great job at setting up and putting on this night celebrating his works.

Facepainting is always fun.

Wouldn't be complete without birthday cake.

Listening to stories in the library.

Always good to see some friends.

Birthday Girl

Someone in our family turned 3.Liberty had a fun birthday with Grandma and Grandpa still visiting.  Kimberly made this unicorn pinata that we all enjoyed.

I made her a unicorn cake.

Glade made some party hats.

Liberty loves Glade!  He gave her lots of presents!

A stuffed unicorn!

"Oh, I just love it!  It's so cute!"

Grandpa enjoying the grandkids he hardly ever gets to see!

We sure love our Liberty!  We are glad she is part of our family!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

We enjoyed a fun day of kite flying one windy day.   Look at this super-cute little guy!

Trying to get it up in the air!

Kids love to fly kites!

Mom helps keep it up in the air.

Still a little snow!

Another great picture of Glade.

Cute girl in her new little rain coat.

Ice Park!

We went on a field trip for our preschool to the ice park. The kids really enjoyed it. The sun staying out makes a huge difference in the temperature.

Liberty and a Kami looking through the wall of the ice maze.
I loved this ice sculpture of a train.
The big winner this year. I love the porcupine spines and how the leopard looks like he's really moving.

Awesome how the can make the squares balance on their corners.
Glade and Liberty getting ready to go down a slide.
Liberty and Kami on an ice chair.
We had a such a good time there. It is always amazing to see what they can do with a medium like ice.

Libby, the True Alaskan

I was showing Liberty some pictures I printed out for Sharing Time. I showed her this one and asked her what it was. Her answer? "A Ptarmigan!"

A Show

Our kids love to put on "shows." They do it for just about every holiday, or sometimes just because. This is a show they put on in mid-January. This picture is part of a play that they made up.

They always have music and dancing too. It is fun to have so much creativity in the house.

The Nest

It doesn't take much for the kids to get creative. Ryan moved the weight bench 45* and the kids decided to make a nest. Most of the pillows and blankets in the house were involved.

Christmas Day

We had a nice Christmas. It was great to be able to attend Sacrament Meeting on Christmas Day and remember the real Reason for the Season.

An Alaskan Christmas tree is a little sparse, but still beautiful! Our main problem was making the very small trunk stay up in our tree stand.

Kim and Glade excited about Christmas morning.
Glade concentrating on driving his new RC car.

Dad helping Liberty build with her Marble Madness run. Such a fun toy! All the kids have been enjoying it!

Watch out! These boys both got a Nerf Dart Gun!
Kimberly with her long-awaited Polly Pocket Pool! Thanks Grandad and Grammy! Another favorite for all the kids!

Kim's biggest gift! A pink .22! She took it out with Dad, but got a little cold. She loves it and can't wait for summer to go out and shoot it more!
Cute pillowcases for all the kids from Grandma and Grandpa. I love Liberty's cheesy grin in this one! They use these every night.
