I was recently moved from the Primary to the Young Women. I have been doing this for about a month and it has been so fun! This week we had an activity and lesson on having respect for teachers, leaders, and parents. Our President had the idea to lip-sync to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." It was fun to dress up crazy and get down. It went over pretty well, I think. Thanks for the fun night!

Easter 2012
We started out the holiday by dying Easter eggs. We got a monster set this year with sticker eyes and mouths. They turned out really cute!
The Easter Bunny came to our house on Friday since Dad had to work on Saturday. He never comes on Sunday since that is the day we want to remember that Jesus was resurrected, the true reason for the season. Libby loving her chocolate bunny.
So far, it's been a fun holiday. Now for the more serious part. We hope our kids can learn about and appreciate the Savior's sacrifice for us.
Hard Work
Glade recently decided he really wanted a specific toy but didn't want to wait until his birthday. He was told that he could work and save money until he could buy it himself. This is what he decided to do. It took him 2 months, but he finally earned enough money. He loves his Finn McMissile and even likes to sleep with him, as seen!
Ice Park!
We went on a field trip for our preschool to the ice park. The kids really enjoyed it. The sun staying out makes a huge difference in the temperature.

Winter Cookout
Late Winter is still a good time to have fun outside! On this evening we cooked hot dogs over our fire and did S'mores. We also enjoyed seeing the snow melt underneath our fire.

Yukon Quest
In February we were able to go to the start of the Yukon Quest, which is a 1,000 mile sled-dog race across Alaska and The Yukon of Canada. It was a little cold out, but not too bad. After a little hot cocoa, everyone felt better. Liberty was the coldest and she cried quite a bit. After we got home, however, she told us that she had fun. Silly girl! We were right be the start line and it was great to see the dogs run right by us.
Warm enough Kim? I think she had the most fun!
Here's a video of a team starting!
