Christmas Day

We had a nice Christmas. It was great to be able to attend Sacrament Meeting on Christmas Day and remember the real Reason for the Season.

An Alaskan Christmas tree is a little sparse, but still beautiful! Our main problem was making the very small trunk stay up in our tree stand.

Kim and Glade excited about Christmas morning.
Glade concentrating on driving his new RC car.

Dad helping Liberty build with her Marble Madness run. Such a fun toy! All the kids have been enjoying it!

Watch out! These boys both got a Nerf Dart Gun!
Kimberly with her long-awaited Polly Pocket Pool! Thanks Grandad and Grammy! Another favorite for all the kids!

Kim's biggest gift! A pink .22! She took it out with Dad, but got a little cold. She loves it and can't wait for summer to go out and shoot it more!
Cute pillowcases for all the kids from Grandma and Grandpa. I love Liberty's cheesy grin in this one! They use these every night.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we had posole and red and green corn chips. Looks pretty festive, eh?

Then we did the nativity play with the kids (you can still see parts of their costumes in this picture). And the opened the traditional one gift on Christmas Eve. I don't know what that little spot on the lens was. Oops.

Here are the girls opening and enjoying their gifts. See, no spot. Who knows?

Christmas Craftiness

I had a good time over the holiday break doing some crafty days with a friend. This is what I ended up with. I love it! It was such a fun project!

10 Years!

Ryan and I have been married for 10 years now! Time sure has flown. We had a good time going shopping for one more Christmas gift (Kim's pink .22), getting our temple recommends renewed, and having dinner at a nice Chinese place. Thanks for all you do for me, Ryan!

Kim's Winter Concert

Kimberly's school puts on a Winter Concert every December. We all got to go this year. Ryan took off work and we enjoyed being together for the afternoon as a family. Here is Kimberly getting ready to sing. She is in the red dress in the front row.

She is being "fancy" by curtsying here.

Glade had fun walking around on the mats until the classes came in to sit on them.

Gingerbread Houses

This year we took the kids to the school for the Gingerbread House night. The had so much fun building their own houses. Look at that happy face. Glade is working hard to get his just right.

Even Liberty made one.

They also got to see Santa, although Liberty would have nothing to do with him.

She's being REALLY careful with her newly built house!

I think maybe she's getting a little big for this, don't you?

We had such a great time doing this activity at the school. The kids absolutely loved seeing friends and making new ones, meeting Santa, and all the candy, of course!

We also made a gingerbread house at home. It didn't turn out too well, but at least the kids had a good time. I think next year we'll stick with the school activity!

The Snow Globe

The kids had been asking for a snow globe this year, so I got one. They loved it and thought it was so fun to shake it and hear it play music. I got these cute pictures of Liberty when she was looking at it one day. So cute!

Kim's Playdough Creations

Kimberly is very creative and loves to make things. This is a fun mural she made with playdough in early December

Happy Birthday!

November brought Ryan's birthday. We had a nice little family celebration. Here is is showing off his new mitts he got for his birthday. He's says they're super-warm.

Ryan's birthday pie. Apple this year.

The Red Green Show is one of his favorites. Those should last a while.

We are so lucky to have Ryan as the father of our family. He is great provider, leader, and Dad. We love you so much!

A Night at the Opera

Kimberly had an opera company come to her school and perform part of a children's opera they were putting on. She we really excited to go and see the whole thing, so she and I went on a little outing. She got to wear a new dress that she LOVES.

Before the performance.

Kimberly with "Little Red Riding Hood." It was a wonderful presentation of a classic fairytale. If you ever get the opportunity to go, do it! The music was great and got stuck in our heads.
