RESPECT

I was recently moved from the Primary to the Young Women. I have been doing this for about a month and it has been so fun! This week we had an activity and lesson on having respect for teachers, leaders, and parents. Our President had the idea to lip-sync to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." It was fun to dress up crazy and get down. It went over pretty well, I think. Thanks for the fun night!

Easter 2012

We started out the holiday by dying Easter eggs. We got a monster set this year with sticker eyes and mouths. They turned out really cute!

The Easter Bunny came to our house on Friday since Dad had to work on Saturday. He never comes on Sunday since that is the day we want to remember that Jesus was resurrected, the true reason for the season. Libby loving her chocolate bunny.
Kim enjoying some Easter breakfast of apple butter on toast.

Glade was too excited to hold still for a picture.
The silly Easter Bunny always hides our dyed eggs outside for us to find. Here's Kim with a nice purple one, and yes, it is still snowy out.
Liberty finding an egg behind some grass.
Glade found a silly one with some monster hair on it on the grill of the old truck.

So far, it's been a fun holiday. Now for the more serious part. We hope our kids can learn about and appreciate the Savior's sacrifice for us.

Hard Work

Glade recently decided he really wanted a specific toy but didn't want to wait until his birthday. He was told that he could work and save money until he could buy it himself. This is what he decided to do. It took him 2 months, but he finally earned enough money. He loves his Finn McMissile and even likes to sleep with him, as seen!

Ice Park!

We went on a field trip for our preschool to the ice park. The kids really enjoyed it. The sun staying out makes a huge difference in the temperature.

Liberty and a Kami looking through the wall of the ice maze.
I loved this ice sculpture of a train.
The big winner this year. I love the porcupine spines and how the leopard looks like he's really moving.

Awesome how the can make the squares balance on their corners.
Glade and Liberty getting ready to go down a slide.
Liberty and Kami on an ice chair.
We had a such a good time there. It is always amazing to see what they can do with a medium like ice.

Winter Cookout

Late Winter is still a good time to have fun outside! On this evening we cooked hot dogs over our fire and did S'mores. We also enjoyed seeing the snow melt underneath our fire.
Fun was had by all (believe it or not). The only problems we had were: marshmallowy mittens and/or cold hands when gloves were removed. Great Family Time!
