Way Up North
Well, sorry for the delay in posting. We've made it up to Fairbanks. It was a long week of getting moved, cleaning and traveling, but it wasn't too horrible. Thank goodness for Army perks (they pay professional movers). We rode the ferry up here and that was pretty fun. The drive wasn't too horrible. Now we are just living in the hotel on post and looking for housing. To buy or not to buy, that is the question. Any thoughts are appreciated. I will get some pictures of our trip and more details up soon.

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for you since we don't have our own place and don't know much about being a home-owner, but we are super glad that you guys made it safely and that one of the kids didn't make you want to throw them overboard... =) Just kidding. Anyway, love you and we'll call soon!! =) Give everyone hugs for us!
You had a baby and moved all in a month! You are a "super woman"! Liberty is a beautiful name--and so fitting! And Alaska...I wish I was there now--its still so hot in AZ! Have fun...and take it easy!
Heather-Congratulations on Liberty and the smooth move to Alaska. I'm not a big fan of moving and especially the stress of selling a place because you have to move, so I would say just find something that you like, that you can feel like is enough of your own, unless you are in love with the idea of owning your own home. Renting cuts out a lot of the headache for you and in the long run you can probably afford something a little nicer to rent than you would to buy for a couple of years-because of all the fees and maintenance costs.
Anyway, I miss having a friend like you around. I'd love to make it to Alaska while you guys are there!
